Mature Munch is a fortnightly dinner served in the Castle Rooms (parish hall), providing a warm and friendly atmosphere in which we present the Gospel to the elderly in our community.
We are a group from a variety of church and chapel traditions, who enjoy good food, both for the body and the soul. Each fortnight we have a hot dinner and pudding, followed by a short talk from the Bible to encourage and inspire us to know God better and to follow Jesus in all aspects of our retirement. We love to sing a couple of our favourite hymns, and we share news of absent friends as well as things to celebrate.
If you are over 50 you are very welcome to join us. Our speakers range from church members to visiting clergy, and cross the generations. This means that we always find a fresh and engaging presentation of the Scriptures and go home challenged in our faith.
Tickets (usually £2.50) and further information available from the church office on 01970 617184. Lifts or special diets can be arranged for you if you leave a message with the office. We are used to providing diabetic and vegetarian options and will do all we can to cater for any needs you may have.
