Leadership team.
The ordained clergy, Stuart Bell and Andy Herrick, meet with the two wardens, Katie Medcalf and Alwyn Owen, on a monthly basis to provide overall leadership to the congregation in St. Michael’s. Their responsibility covers all areas of church life and usually the agenda is long and detailed. Wardens are normally appointed for a period of 6 years.
Church Committee
Items for discussion are passed to the church committee both from the wardens meeting and also from individual members of the congregation. There are currently 16 members on this committee who are appointed at the annual review and preview of church life.
We have a rule that a person may only serve on the church committee for a maximum of three years, so this ensures that there is wide representation from across the congregation.
