It’s a real pleasure to welcome Becks Williams back to St. Michael’s. She was a student here for the last 3 years and worshipped regularly with us during that time. Originally she comes from Llandrindod Wells, where her family still live, so she has been raised bilingually. She will be Lindy’s successor as a female pastor to our youth, and we hope that she will be able to build bridges with the young people in St. Mair’s Church. Please welcome her warmly today and give her all the support you can, along with Steve as they work with our teenagers.

Another note from me to encourage you to consider taking an Academy module during the autumn.
Let me remind you what is on offer.
1. Peter Phipps will be teaching the whole of the New Testament between now and Christmas. It will happen on a Tuesday morning between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Those who have done these Bible classes with Peter will tell you that this is top quality teaching from a man with years of experience in the classroom.
2. When we become Christians we offer the whole of ourselves to the Lord, but for some of us that’s something of a problem because we don’t yet know ourselves fully. The purpose of our self-discovery course is to find out more about the way that we are made, and the way that God has gifted us. This course on a Tuesday evening [7-9 p.m.] will give an opportunity to delve into our personality make-up and find out that the Lord has gifted us to do.
3. Leadership is a major factor in the contemporary church. Throughout history the Lord has called and equipped leaders as his gift to his church. If you have a ministry which involves leadership then this module is for you. It is being offered on a Friday morning between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
