» Prayer Ministry Team
We have a Ministry Team in St Michael’s. Our team is available to pray for people after each of the main Sunday services. We do this because we believe that it is part of the character of God to heal, one of the Old Testament names for the Lord is Jehovah Rapha –the Lord who heals. Christians over the centuries have prayed that he would do just that and have rejoiced to see Him reach out and heal people.
After a service the Ministry team is available in the Side Chapel, to pray for people, no matter what their need, whether it is for sickness, for guidance, being filled with the Spirit, or help through a difficult time. Some people, with ongoing needs, are prayed for week after week. That is wonderful; others come less frequently,that too is wonderful. Many times we hear of those who are healed or helped in their situation.
The Ministry Team is made up of members of the Church, who feel called to be part of the team. We meet once a month to review progress, to do a Bible study, to pray for those we know in distress and for the Lord’s work to be done.
