History

Ten years ago the Welsh Christian Heritage Centre took shape. It combined a visual display of 30 boards telling the impact of the Christian faith on various aspects of Welsh life. Alongside that was a video entitled ‘The Cross and the dragon’ which told the history of the Christian faith in Wales from its arrival with the Roman legions right up to the present day.
This video is available from the church office in either English or Welsh at a cost of £9.99 (inc. P&P)

The Heritage Centre was housed in St. Michael’s Church during the summer months and then stored for the winter. However, because of increasing congregations there was no longer room for the displays and it has been stored for the past few years.

Present initiative

The current plan is to rebuild the ruined vestry from the second St. Michael’s Church which stands at the end of the church car park. This will house the Heritage Centre in a brand new multi media presentation. Together with the restored vestry there will also be an additional extension which will provide cafeteria facilities and an upstairs conference lounge available for hire to the local community.

Our plans have been submitted to Ceredigion Planning Department and can be seen below. (Select the attachment, it will open as a new page).
