The drama group is now well established within the church, meeting at least fortnightly to work on new sketches and to discuss their implications for both the group and the congregation at large. The group spans several generations, and the diversity of its members lends a richness and vibrancy to the dramas performed.
Drama is used in some form in the main worship services once or twice a month on average. As well as seasonal sketches and devised pieces customised for particular services, we have explored themes such as self-esteem, and the difference that meeting Jesus makes to our lives.
The group is open to anyone of any age who has a desire to use their creative gifts in worshipping God and in enhancing worship in a church setting, that it may become even more meaningful to each individual.
