At St. Michael's Church we have a number of activities to help students, old and new, get involved with church life and know Jesus better.
Phil Nixon is our student pastor who looks after these activities. He enjoys meeting up with students and watching them get to know God and being part of that. He’s super willing and caring, with a good listening ear. If you check out his to-do lists that are often pinned up in the office he also likes walking his pet rock, has an alligator that has kidnapped his room, and only has a wash once a year...!
Here are our weekly activities held specially for students.
Living Room - Our Living Room is held in the Castle Rooms after the evening service. Here you can meet new friends, chill out with your mates over a cup of hot chocolate and a game of pool or table football.
Student night with St. Mike's - Every fortnight on the Saturday at St. Michael's we hold a student night at our parish hall, the Castle Rooms. We gather together to catch up over a home 'castle'- cooked meal, to chat together and chill. Once a month we will have activities during this time, and a short talk about Jesus, and once a month we gather to talk about campus life. You can check our Facebook group for up-to-date info on this, or simply get in touch with Phil.
Bible study - There is a weekly Bible study on every Monday evening at 7:30pm at No. 4, Lewis Terrace, Llanbadarn Fawr. Please contact Phil if you would like a lift from town or campus.
There are so many more church activities that you can get involved with too! Just check out the church calendar (and weekly notices) for more information.
Phil loves to meet new people, and is very happy to chat. If you fancy a coffee why not drop him a message on Facebook, or e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org, or text on 07419819488.
